Community Schools Remote Learning Plan
The Community Schools Afterschool Program is offering virtual enrichment opportunities. These include activities from familiar clubs, off-screen step-by-step activities and challenges, YouTube channels starring familiar afterschool faces doing read-alouds, wellness and art activities, individual and small group academic support with assignments, and language support to ensure all our families stay connected and aware of the resources available.
Most importantly, our teachers are checking in with families via phone calls or messaging. We are also exploring ways to post activities on the local city cable channel. All activities are available through online platforms, such as Class Dojo or Google Classroom, making it easy for families and students to navigate.
