Safety is always our main concern. For this reason we expect parents to drop their children off on the Raymond Avenue side of the building due to the volume of traffic on Powderhouse Boulevard.
How do I find the online link to Destiny/Online Library Catalogue?
A
Every school's home page now has a link to Destiny, the online library catalogue. Visit your school's website and scroll down to "student services" to find the link. It is right before the link to X2 Aspen Student Database.
The school strongly discourages the bringing of cell phones/electronic devices to school. There is a phone in each classroom that is available to students with permission from the teacher. If a student MUST bring a device it must be turned off and put away.
How to do I notify the school if my child is absent?
A
Our PTA maintains a 24-hour safety line for parents to call if their child will be absent. The number is 617-625-0378. If a parent fails to call we will call the home and any emergency numbers that we have to insure that the child is safe.
If your child is not feeling well his/her teacher will send them to the nurse. Our nurse will then determine if a parent should be called to pick up the child.
If your child has a medical issue please contact the School Nurse Nancy Boyle.

Are there After School Programs available for my child?
A
There are age-appropriate after school programs for enrichment, enjoyment and remediation. Please speak to your child’s teacher if you are interested. Forms will be going home in the mail.
It would be wise to mark your calendar now for our Back to School Night which will happen on Wednesday evening from 6:00 – 8:30 PM. Other dates for conferences can be found in the Parent/Guardian Guide that your child will be bringing home the first week of school.
Our very active PTA will be sending home a booklet the first week of school with many opportunities for you to become involved. Talk to your child’s teacher or come to the office to discuss any other suggestions for participating in our school.
We should always keep in mind that school is your child’s place of business and that they should dress appropriately as not to cause any distraction from time spent on learning.
The homework policy for the different grade levels can also be found in the Parent/Guardian that came home the first week of school. If your child tells you that they have no homework touch base with their classroom teacher. Students in grades 3-8 will use an agenda book to write down assignments. The agenda book was provided by the school. You should see the agenda book with homework assignments written inside each night. Parents/Guardians and teachers also may use the agenda book as a way to communicate. Students in grades K-3 received special folders for their homework. Parents/Guardians and teachers may also use the folder as a way to send communication from school. Always contact your child's teacher if you have questions or concerns about homework.
