Free SES Tutoring Services for Eligible Students
Dear Parents and Guardians,
FREE SES (Supplemental Education Services) tutoring for K-8 students who qualify for free and reduced lunch is available through the federal Title I Grant and is scheduled to start in November. To ensure that tutoring starts on time, we are asking you to submit your application as soon as possible.
If there are not enough slots for every child requesting services, eligible students with the greatest academic need according to our assessments will receive first priority. Please also note that you will be responsible for providing transportation for your child to each of these tutoring sessions.
To apply, please complete the form at the end of this message and return to your school's main office by October 14, 2011. Late applications will be waitlisted. If there are slots left over after this deadline, a second application window will be open from November to December.
Last year, six providers (including Somerville, Club Z, Pinnacle Learning, Lexington Learning, Smarties, and Club Z) served 350 Somerville students.
More information about Supplemental Education Services (SES) can be found on the Web at www.doe.mass.edu/SES.
Sincerely,
Uri Harel
