The Somerville High School Culinary Arts program is proud and excited to open its Highlander Cafe doors to the Somerville community. Tis’ the season to warm up with our delicious split pea and ham soup laced with a touch of truffle oil.
MINESTRONE SOUP 8oz. $2 12oz. $3
A classic Italian hearty soup packed with vegetables, pasta and beans. You’re sure to love it!!
GRILLED PORTABELLA AND SPINACH SALAD $4
Chargrilled portabella mushroom, fresh baby spinach, blue cheese all topped with a balsamic glaze and squash puree.
CAESAR SALAD (V) $4 WITH CHICKEN $5
Crisp romaine lettuce, house-made croutons, and Parmesan cheese tossed in Caesar dressing. Add some grilled chicken if you’d like!
GARDEN SALAD (V, G) $4
An entrée sized salad of mixed garden greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onion, and shredded carrots. Dressings: Balsamic Vinaigrette, Parmesan Peppercorn & Blue Cheese
VEGETABLE PIZZA $5
Our own pizza topped with onions, peppers, goat cheese and topped with herb oil…served with a small side salad.
CHEESE PIZZA (V) $5
Made with our house made, hand rolled dough and served with a small side Caesar or garden salad. Dressings: Balsamic Vinaigrette, Parmesan Peppercorn & Blue Cheese & Italian.
A hand-formed and grilled Angus beef burger served with our home made buns, hand cut fries, lettuce, tomato, coleslaw and a dill pickle. Add a slice of American cheese if you’d like.
Pearl Packing Company of Randolph, MA makes our quarter pound natural casing frank which we serve with our hand cut fries, coleslaw and a dill pickle.

Our own tomato sauce, mozzarella on our home made baguettes.
All lunch entrees are served with a side Caesar or garden salad and a
house made roll (when available), unless otherwise specified

Chicken breast sautéed with capers and lemon butter-cream over penne pasta.

Tender pork, capers and bacon jus. Served with blue cheese-mashed potatoes and vegetable medley.

A light pastry dough in the shape of a swan stuffed with diplomat cream.
