Somerville High School is a member of the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association and competes in the Greater Boston League. Somerville sponsors sports in Football, Golf (Co-ed), Soccer (B & G), Cross Country (B & G), Indoor/Outdoor Track (B & G), Basketball (B & G), Ice Hockey (B & G) , Swimming (Co-ed), Softball (G), Baseball (B), Tennis (B & G) and Volleyball (B & G). We also compete in club Crew (B & G) , Ultimate Frisbee (B & G) and Cheerleading (Co-ed).
Students who meet all MIAA requirements and are in good academic standing at Somerville High School and Next Wave/Full Circle Alternative School are eligible to participate.

Students must have a current physical to participate in sport, within 13 months of the start date. A copy of the physical must be handed into the athletic training office prior to the start of the season. All paperwork that is needed for participation can be found at the sports medicine link under athletics.
