Kindergarten Registration dates for the 2012-2013 School Year have been finalized and updated! Please see the documents under "Important Dates" for the updated information.

Last year, 95% of families got their first choice school in the controlled choice student assignment plan. 100% of families who made their first choice because of (a) proximity, or (b) they have a sibling at the school got their first choice.

The Parent Information Center (PIC) provides the following services to families in Somerville and the Somerville Public Schools:

• New Students Registration
• Kindergarten Registration
• Nurse review and assistance obtaining medical registration information
• Intra-District Transfer Requests
• Information about Parent Workshops and Support Groups
• Additional services include Bilingual Services as well as Parent/Guardian outreach
• Referral to Mass Health/Children's Medical Plan Insurance

During the school year the Parent Information Center is open from Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Fridays from 10:00 AM -4:00 PM. During the summer the Parent Information Center is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
