Since 1974, SCALE has provided classes and support services to more than 1,200 adult learners (16 years and older) annually who need basic reading, writing and math skills, English instruction for non-native speakers, or a high-school credential. SCALE's fully accessible facilities have a state-of-the art computer lab and an on-site GED Test Center. Most classes are free. Fees are charged for orientations, adult evening school, and testing for the GED (General Educational Development) diploma and for the ADP (Adult Diploma Program).

NEW! If there is a school closure because of snow, staff will receive a Connect-Ed telephone call from the District (in English, Spanish, Portuguese and Haitian Creole). Snow emergency information can also be found on this website, by calling 311, on local cable channels 15 and/or 16 and on television channels 4, 5, 7, 13, 25, and 56. Snow emergency information is also broadcast on the radio (WBZ 1030 AM and WBUR 90.9 FM). REMEMBER! There is no parking on the even sides of the streets during snow emergencies.
