School Improvement Plan

2016-2018 Brown School Improvement Plan

The Brown School Council is an advisory group of parents, staff, and community representatives created by the mandates of the Massachusetts Education Reform Act of 1993. School Council works collaboratively with the Brown PTA. The major responsibilities of the School Council include:

  • Adopting educational goals for the school
  • Identifying the educational needs of the students at the school site
  • Reviewing the school's annual budget
  • Formulating a school improvement plan

The Council focuses its efforts in four major areas:

  • Curriculum
  • Finance
  • Business Partnerships
  • Family Contact & Communication
