The Brown School, Somerville’s oldest elementary school, offers a close-knit, family atmosphere focused on helping students thrive academically and personally while developing into positive, productive members of society. Serving grades K–5, the school provides rich learning opportunities, including an extended-hours library/media center, teacher-led clubs, and strong participation in music programs such as string, band, and chorus. Supported by an active Parent/Teacher Association, the Brown fosters a vibrant, engaging community that enhances both student learning and school life.
