Albert F. Argenziano School

The Albert F. Argenziano School is a Pre-K to Grade 8 community dedicated to fostering an inclusive, culturally responsive learning environment where all students feel safe, valued, and respected. Committed to meeting diverse academic, linguistic, and cultural needs, the school provides tailored instruction aligned with the district’s core curriculum, including Sheltered English Immersion and integrated programs in Grades K–5. Serving a diverse population, including English Language Learners, Argenziano prepares students to become literate across disciplines, skilled in technology, critical thinkers, ethical individuals, and active participants in a multicultural society. Named for the former superintendent who served from 1993 to 2005, the school reflects a strong tradition of equity, excellence, and community engagement.

Students in Grades K–3 may participate in a morning fitness program (BOKS), while Grades 2–4 can join a before-school junior chorus. In Grade 3, all students take swimming as part of physical education, and students in Grades 3–5 have access to a morning Library Club. Students in Grades 4–8 may participate in string or band instruction, with Grades 5–8 also eligible for after-school chorus. All 5th graders take part in the CycleKids bicycle and nutrition program.

In Grades 6–8, students may enroll in Spanish (based on proficiency in ELA and Math) and engage in leadership and skill-building through the Middle Grades Aspiration Team and Project.

Across all grades, students benefit from initiatives such as the ROARS home reading program, an onsite garden, and access to nearby green space, supporting a strong focus on health, wellness, and well-rounded development.
