SHS Scholarship Foundation
The Somerville High School Scholarship Foundation (SHSSF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation established with the express intent of distributing scholarships to Somerville’s public school graduates. Founded in 1990, the Foundation’s board of directors is strictly composed of volunteers. Directors are current and former school administrators, headmasters/principals, teachers, students, elected officials, and members of the community. The Foundation works closely with the high school counseling department in coordinating the annual SHS Scholarship Night. This year’s SHS Scholarship Night will take place on Thursday, May 28, 2026.
The SHSSF actively seeks donations from individuals, corporations and estates who wish to further the mission of providing funds to graduating SHS seniors. Please consider giving in memory of a loved one or to the STAR (Staff and Teacher Alumni Recognition) Scholarship in recognition of a teacher who impacted your life (please include STAR and the staff member name in the memo/subject line). All contributions are tax deductible.
