Science
The SHS Science Department prepares students to think critically, solve problems using evidence, collaborate, communicate effectively, and become self-directed learners. Through an equitable, inquiry-based curriculum aligned with Massachusetts Science Frameworks, students engage in meaningful, hands-on learning experiences that connect scientific concepts to real-world applications. Teachers foster a supportive environment with high expectations, using technology and diverse instructional strategies to help all students develop scientific understanding and skills for future success.
Requirements
All students must complete 15-credits of lab-based science courses in order to fulfill their graduation requirements, per the MassCore Framework. All science courses listed in this section are lab-based science courses.
